Surgical Oncologist

Location: Yale University, School of Medicine

The Department of Surgery, Division of Surgical Oncology at the Yale School of Medicine and Smilow Cancer Center is currently seeking a board-certified surgeon with fellowship training in complex GI Oncology to join our growing team. The position is at the Assistant or Associate Professor of Surgery level, commensurate with qualifications and experience, at Yale School of Medicine and Bridgeport Hospital Yale New Haven Health System.

In addition to clinical duties, our faculty members provide educational training to medical students, residents and fellows and actively contribute to help develop our research goals and portfolio. Applicants should expect to work in a friendly environment with collegial and supportive administration offering patient centered care in a multi-disciplinary fashion. This position is an opportunity to join a growing faculty and build a robust practice in a thriving community in Connecticut.

Yale Medicine has a wide referral network of primary and specialty care physicians. We are seeking candidates with an academic orientation in clinical care, clinical research and/or education. Candidates will also be joining a world class Gastrointestinal Oncology team at an NCI Designated Comprehensive Cancer Center at the Smilow Cancer Hospital at Yale New Haven and Yale Cancer Center. Candidates will have exceptional interpersonal skills and a commitment to make contributions to the field of Surgical Oncology. In addition to program planning and development, candidates should also have a background in quality assurance, educational and operational development.
